Do we need any dance experience?
No. The lessons are catered to all levels, from strictly beginners to advanced dancers. Many of our couples are strictly beginners with no or little dance background.
How long is one lesson?
We teach on a 1.5 hour basis to allow the couples to learn their individual steps and then dance together as a couple.
How many lessons should we take?
The number of lessons is dependent on your goals and your budget. Couples can choose from one 1.5 hour lesson to as many as ten 1.5 hour lessons depending on the length of the choreography and the level of complexity of the dance. On average our couples take about three to four 1.5 hour lessons.
When should we start?
As early as possible. Most couples started several months before the actual wedding day.
Do we need special shoes for the lesson?
Shoes with smooth sole such as leather or suede are highly recommended, no sneakers. Ladies should wear shoes with heels and ankle strap.
Do we need special clothing for the lesson?
Any comfortable clothing is fine, slightly body hugging is recommended so that you are able to see your body movements.
Where is your studio located?
We don't own a studio but we are flexible in securing studio spaces in many locations, closer to where you are! The studio fee would depend on actual charge by the studio owner. However, to save on studio fees, we can come to your home at no additional charge.
Do we have to share the studio space with other students?
The studio space is used exclusively for your lesson and no other students will be sharing the same space. This would allow more privacy as well as to prevent any distraction during the lesson.
If we have a lesson at home, what kind of space or flooring is required?
A typical living room space would be sufficient.
When do we have to make payment?
Payment is on a per lesson basis, at the end of each lesson.
What type of style of dances will we learn?
The dance style will be based on theme of the wedding, choice of song(s) and preferences to certain dance movement / video clips. If there is no preference, the instructor will recommend the dance style based on you and your partner's existing abilities, personalities and the wedding theme / programme.
